Borski Park North Philly

We enjoyed a summer stroll around Robert A Borski Jr Park with our dog. This free public park is part of Philadelphia Parks and Recreation. It just opened in the Bridesburg neighborhood of North Philadelphia with its Phase 1 completed.

It offers great views of the Delaware River plus short paved and soft dirt trails to explore.
The park is beautifully landscaped with lots of newly planted native tree seedlings. It is open daily from dawn to dusk with a large parking lot and full restrooms. There’s a nice variety of local wildflowers along the short circular trails. They are fundraising for Phase 2 of the park to add terraced lawn seating and plantings to cover their 10 acres. There is no playground equipment but there is a big grassy lawn area as a play space.

Restrooms
There are several full restrooms near the park entrance. They were just about completed when we visited in August 2025.
Dog-friendliness
The park welcomes leashed dogs and has a poop bag dispenser near the entrance. We visited with our dog and he enjoyed walking the paved trails and grassy area with us. We met several other leashed dogs on our visit.
Park History and Future Plans
Robert Borski is a Philadelphia Congressman who was dedicated to reclaiming this former industrial site to be a public park. Read more about his history and contributions here.
There are park benches in several spots. This is a carry in/out park with no trash cans onsite. Did not see any picnic grills. There are plans in Phase 2 to add seating for concerts.
