Our family tradition is to visit the Chinese Lantern Festival in Philadelphia’s Franklin Square Park every year. This was the best show yet from the dazzling lantern entrance on ! The exhibits are not only spectacular, but most are interactive and fun for all ages.
Since it’s the year of the Dragon, we especially enjoyed the big display celebrating each of the 9 Dragon sons of the Dragon King. The interactive musical animals and birds were very popular.
The live show has the fan favorite face-changer, but added new acrobatic, dance and hoop performers.
There’s a wide variety of food choices and the live 15-minute fountain show was running often , which we appreciated. Due to the stormy summer weather, the Festival is extended to August 31.
