Our first dinner at Rosy’s Taco Bar was a 5-star treat for all five senses. It’s our new favorite Mexican restaurant in Philly. We had their quesadillas, shrimp and pork tacos, plus churros for dessert. Their tortillas are the best! Light and crispy with a hint of sweetness.
The service was friendly, attentive and fast. The portions were the perfect size to devour everything without feeling too full. I enjoyed my Mexican Coke, but there’s a full bar and hightop bar table area.
It looks like they kept the historic goldleaf floral-painted walls, fireplace, funky wood seating and tin ceiling from the previous French creperie restaurant. Rosy’s is set in an historic rowhome that dates back to 1900. There is space upstairs for private events and outdoor hightop tables for people-watching in season. The prices were reasonable for what we enjoyed. We wish them success in their second location. Our only request would be to add some vegan items so our friend can join us next time.
